Customer specifications

This is precisely where our strength lies. Because planistar manufactures the lights in-house, we can produce customised backlighting with short delivery times.

So you don't have to follow our standard programme. We adapt exactly to your requirements and the conditions on site.

This saves you costs in the
  • Concept of the system,
  • Construction and in the
  • Evaluation in industrial image processing.

Our production processes are planned in such a way that a customised light has almost the same throughput as a standard light. The only difference is that the customised luminaire is precisely documented. This means that we are able to supply replacements even years later.

Benefit from the co-operation with planistar.

Nachhaltigkeit bei

When revising our product series, we always take sustainability into account, as even small details add up to make a big difference.

This includes saving resources and energy, the careful selection of materials used, as well as packaging and disposal.

  • Raw materials are carefully selected
  • Optimization of electronics and thermal management to extend lifespan
  • Manufacturing of lights and electronics in Germany
  • Reduction of raw materials while maintaining the same properties
  • All materials can be recycled at the end of their life
  • Packaging is 100% recyclable

The main applications of light booths

Light booths are required wherever visual inspection of test parts in a consistent and reproducible environment is necessary.

Color sampling

The light booth accurately replicates light types, enabling the direct comparison of products that must exhibit specific color properties. A color matching booth/light booth is used wherever products need to maintain consistent color properties during manufacturing, such as for textiles, automotive components, ceramic products, cosmetics, as well as for the food industry, printing inks, and packaging.

It is typically equipped with two different light colors in D50 or D65.

However, other standard light types are also possible, depending on the end product's intended use (outdoor or indoor environment).

Assessment of test specimens

The inspector has a constant environment without disturbing external influences, in which they can assess the test specimen. The characteristics to be inspected may include:

  • Completeness
  • Surface damage or defects
  • Inspection of prints and markings
  • Packaging inspection

The inspection conditions are customized according to customer specifications.

For example: The print on an insulin syringe must be legible at an illumination intensity of 100 lx.

Inspection for foreign objects

Here, our light booth is used in the white/black combination.

Bottles, ampoules, or packaging can be examined for dark or light foreign particles depending on the background. A high contrast is created between the foreign object and the background.

This allows light foreign objects to be clearly detected against the black background, and dark foreign objects against the white background.

The lighting significantly enhances the contrast and creates a comfortable inspection environment for the inspector.

Special solutions such as time-bound visual inspection

As in the example shown, we can integrate special customer requirements into our light cabins.

In this case, the requirement was to set a fixed inspection time and break time for the inspector. The idea is: "If the defect is not visible after 4 seconds of inspection, it will not be visible after a longer inspection." After the inspection time has expired, the end of the inspection is displayed in red to the employee. After a fixed break time of 4 seconds, the start of the next inspection is displayed in green. Green disappears when the inspector begins the new process.

This is just one example of the customization possibilities of our light cabins. We are constantly surprised by our customers' requests. Our team takes care of the implementation.
